From Transitional Kindergarten to 12th Grade, our children deserve 14 years of excellent schooling. Granada Hills Charter elevates the educational experience in our community by providing excellence in education and unmatched opportunities for our students. This growth into elementary and middle schools gives us an opportunity to provide students with continuity through all grades that prepares them for a future they envision and own.

It's never too early to begin preparing for a successful future! In addition to a strong academic foundation in math, English, humanities, science, art, physical education, and social science, our students will prepare for the rigors of high school, college, and beyond with the following pillars as a foundation for success:

World Languages

As one of the only schools in the area that offers early language classes, Granada Hills Charter students will begin taking language classes in second grade. Second language fluency prepares students for a competitive workforce and gives them the ability to connect with people across the globe.

Computer Science

Our students will learn how computers work - an early introduction to logical thinking - beginning in Kindergarten. We will be among the first schools to adopt the new California K-12 computer science standards to prepare our students for the careers of the future.

Students who can communicate clearly and confidently are better prepared for all levels of 21st Century learning. Granada Hills Charter students will learn how to articulate their thoughts, enabling them to access and pursue the best opportunities in life.

Community Service

In an inquiry-based intructional model, GHC students will thrive in project-based learning that requires real-world problem solving. Our students will be guided to conduct meaningful, mission-driven projects that are purposeful and teach them the value of giving back to society.

Just like our high school program, GHC TK-8 will provide a broad educational experience that extends beyond the classroom. In addition to art and technology embedded into the instructional day, students will access a wide range of experiences that contribute to the development of a well-rounded individual. Our TK-8 students will learn from our high school mentors in these enrichment activities.
